For Veterans In Shawano & Menominee Counties
STEP 1: The Initial Comms. Call the Regional Coordinator at 715-383-6227. We’ll do a quick phone screening to discuss your musical interests and ensure the program is the right fit for your goals.
STEP 2: Gear Issue. Complete the enrollment paperwork and receive your Loaner Gear. We provide the guitar or lap cajon for the entire 10-week cycle—no personal equipment is required to start. When you end program, gear must be returned.
STEP 3: First Lesson. Show up as you are. The environment is strictly low-pressure and veteran-focused. Most sessions are tailored one-on-one, with group lessons available as you progress.
STEP 4: Mission Completion. After the 10th lesson, loaner gear is returned so it can be issued to the next recruit. At this stage, we will discuss your preference for a Graduation Presentation—which can be a private recognition or a public award ceremony.
STEP 5: Future Operations. Graduates may continue sessions based on availability on instructors time, please check with the coordinator after graduation. We also facilitate monthly veteran jams to keep the unit together and keep the music going. Hope to play at small venues like the farmers market when veterans get comfortable enough.
